Rita Catarino Caeiro joined the European Board for Certified Counselors (EBCC) as an executive assistant in 2012. In this role, Ms. Caeiro supports the vice president and business development manager in coordinating the Global Career Development Facilitator (GCDF), Mental Health Facilitator (MHF) and Certified Supervision Professional (CSP) programs in Europe.
In 2012, Ms. Caeiro became an honorary member of the Portuguese Order of Psychologists and started to work in career counseling–related fields, obtaining her GCDF, GCDF-Portugal Trainer and CSP certifications through EBCC. She also served on the team of experts that adapted the GCDF-Portugal curriculum.
Ms. Caeiro is a native of Portugal, raised in Mora, a small town in the Alentejo province. She graduated from the University of Évora, in Portugal, in 2010 with a master’s of organizational psychology. She has developed her professional background with social and community projects that serve socially and economically disadvantaged youth and adults. Ms. Caeiro has also created and developed personal, emotional and social skill–development training courses, as well as mental health promotion programs and coordination efforts for school and pedagogical counseling projects.
